What does each survey status mean?

The survey status tells you what stage your survey is at.

There are four statuses:

  • Draft
  • Pending
  • Active
  • Closed.

Let's learn more about which actions you can take at each stage.

Draft surveys

Draft surveys haven't been published yet and may be waiting on final changes.

Actions you can take at this stage:

  • Manage: Edit your draft survey or pick up where you left off.
  • Duplicate: Create a survey similar to your draft by using duplicate. You only need to set the survey dates, demographics and add participants to the new survey to complete the setup.
  • Add to: Put your survey in a folder.
  • Delete: Delete this survey if you no longer need it.

Pending

Pending surveys have been published and are ready to go live once the start date and time are met.

  • Permissions: Set who can access the survey results using report viewer permissions.

Active or closed

Active surveys are live. This means invitations can be sent and participants can take the survey. Closed surveys have reached their end date and time, and can no longer be taken.
