How to preview your survey
You should always preview your survey before you publish it. This gives you a chance to check it works the way you expect. Are there any typos? If you're using branching logic, does it move the user to the right question? Is there anything you need to fix?
To preview your survey:
- Go to Surveys in the left menu.
- Find the survey you want to preview and select the three dots on the survey card to open the menu.
- Select Edit.
- Go to the Overview & Publish step and select Preview survey. This will open the survey in a new tab. It does not allow you to preview the survey invitation email.
Make sure to check the entire survey right through to the Thank you screen. Any responses submitted in preview are not saved.
Send a preview to someone
You can also send a preview to someone so they can experience the same survey-taking process as participants. This is the full journey from receiving an invitation to completing the survey.
Previews can only be sent if your survey is in Draft or Pending.
