Onboarding survey timeline
(Example)

Onboarding surveys need to be run at a specific point in an employee's journey with you. The following example shows the sequence of activities required to ensure the survey is sent to the right person, at the right time.

We've chosen a 1 month sending period for this example, but you can choose other sending periods like 1 week, 3, 6 or 12 months.

If you have automation turned on

This is the sequence of activity for a 1 month check-in:

  • Before the employee starts: Enter the employee's start date into your participant library.

  • 1 month after the start date: The employee is automatically added to the survey and sent an invitation to take it. This invitation is sent by email or text.

If you have automation turned off

This is the sequence of activity for a 1 month check-in:

  • Before the employee starts: You need to manually add the employee to the survey and enter their start date.

  • 1 month after the start date: The employee is automatically sent an invitation to take the survey. This invitation is sent by email or text.

Will I be notified when the participant completes the survey?

This depends on how you've set up your survey.

If you'd like to be notified when someone completes your onboarding survey:

  1. Go to Surveys and find your offboarding survey.

  2. Select the three dots to open the survey menu.

  3. Select Edit and then the Communications tab.

  4. Scroll down to the question: Who should we notify when someone completes this survey? and select an option or enter your details.
