Applying filters to your reports
You can use filters to focus the information you're seeing in reports.
You can choose to:
- Filter by demographics: Use this to understand how groups of people have answered questions differently. Demographic report filters are made up of the demographic categories that were included in the survey.
- Filter the amount of information/questions: Limit what's shown on the page by using themes, questions groups, categories or individual questions. This can be useful when sharing reports and highlighting key points.
How do I apply demographic filters to reports?
To filter survey results by demographics:
- Select Apply filters at the top right.
- Select an option from the Demographics category.
- Select one or more demographic options. The number of respondents is included in brackets for each demographic option.
- Select See results.
If the minimum response threshold is not met, you won't be able to view results for that group of respondents. In this situation, try selecting additional demographic options to reach the threshold.
💡Did you know? The number of respondents in your filtered results shows in the top right corner of the 'Apply filters' modal and under the organisation score when viewing reports. For example, 71 of 163 means there are 71 respondents that match the selected demographic filters out of a total of 163 respondents.
How do I clear report filters?
To clear report filters:
- Select Filters applied from the report header
- Click Clear filters
- Select See results
What demographic categories are available in my reports?
To find out which demographic categories are available to you, select the information icon next to the report name. This will open a panel displaying information about the survey and which demographics' results you have permission to view.
If you think your permissions are incorrect, please contact your organisation's Account Manager.
How do I apply and remove question filters?
To apply question filters follow the same process as applying demographic filters but select from the available questions rather than demographics. You can choose from Themes, Groups, Categories or individual Questions in the Apply filter modal.
💡Did you know? You can apply question filters and demographic filters at the same time before closing the modal.
To clear question filters, follow the same steps as removing demographic filters:
- Select Filters applied from the report header
- Click Clear filters
- Select See results
