How do I compare surveys?
Once you've run two or more surveys, we recommend comparing the results to see how they've changed over time and measure the impact of any actions you've taken.
You can compare your surveys by selecting:
- Compare section from the left menu, or
- Compare surveys with a survey's reports.
From within the Compare section:
- Select up to 5 surveys to compare. This is the maximum you can compare at one time.
- Select Next.
- You’ll land on the Questions list, which displays only the Agree–Disagree questions. The Compare feature is only available for this question type.
- Select the Reports tab to begin exploring how the scores have changed.
💡 Did you know?
Questions will only match if they:
- share the same AskYourTeam Agree-Disagree question ID, or
- are an exact text match with another selected survey question.
You can select the Show unmatched toggle to only show questions that didn't match between the surveys.
Types of compare reports
There are three reports you can use to compare surveys:
- Compare: Similar to the Alignment Report, you will see a bar chart that can toggle between category and question view. The number of bars will correspond to the number of surveys you're comparing.
- Over time: This is line graph that shows if scores for overall survey, categories or specific questions has gone up or down over time.
- Heatmap Report (for comparing surveys): This report can only compare two surveys at a time. The Heatmap Report breaks down responses by demographic.
How do I change which surveys to compare?
You can select the tab Select Surveys in the top navigation at any time within Compare. This will allow you to select different survey combinations to compare.
Keep in mind permissions will be applied. You will only be able to select and compare surveys you have permission to view.
